GLAZED Cupcakes
During Fall Quarter 2024, I took ITP 330: Fundamentals of Packaging. Our quarter long class project was to redesign a packaging that added new value to stakeholders. Though I already had a decent background in packaging, this class gave me an in-depth look at the non-design side of packaging. I worked alongside 3 other team members to continuously iterate, test, and prototype different dielines.
MY ROLE
In addition to working on the dieline prototyping with my team, I created the branding guidelines for our fictional cupcake business and did the box graphics.

TIMELINE:
September 2024–December 2024
A Throughout the 12 weeks, we went through various iterations of our packaging. We based our original dieline on a standard from ArtiosCAD and modified it as we test-cut it each week on the ZUND. During the later weeks of prototyping, we brought in actual cupcakes to test the inserts for fit and stability.
Branding Guidelines
Since our packaging was more sophisticated than a generic cupcake box, we thought that pairing it with a premium cupcake brand would make the most sense. We were unsure of what to call our fictional cupcake bakery so I drafted up a few different logos for us to choose from, we ultimately ended up going with GLAZED.
